Eva Schleip-Stiftung

Applications for one-off grants from the Eva Schleip Foundation

In the summer semester of 2024, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) will award one-off study grants from the Eva Schleip Foundation. Grants worth €500 each are available. The Eva Schleip Foundation awards grants to German students and doctoral candidates who identify with either the Catholic or Protestant faith, are in financial need and have had a Christian upbringing in a middle class family.

Students are eligible to apply for the grant after completing the first stage of their degree programme and under the following conditions:

  1. If a preliminary or intermediate examination has to be passed in order to complete the first part of the degree programme, this must have been passed no later than one semester after the minimum duration of study stipulated in the relevant degree programme and examination regulations (certificate stating that intermediate examination has been passed, for example the first part of the State Examination in Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy, preliminary examination, GOP or similar).
  2. If a preliminary or intermediate examination is not required for the degree programme in question, the applicant must submit confirmation from their BaföG coordinator proving that progress has been made in the degree programme during this period.

Students who are completing a second or additional degree programme and students who have already received a grant from the Eva Schleip Foundation are not eligible for funding.
